Special Place – A Guided Meditation

Welcome to the first guided meditation from our Mastering Mindfulness® E-Learning series: Guided Meditations For Mind, Body & Spirit. We expand upon the practice and discipline of focused breathing to facilitate a deeper and more meaningful subconscious experience. As your awareness moves inward and you achieve a state of inner calm, personal insights and revelations will occur.

If you are sitting, place your feet flat on the floor and your hands on your lap, palms up. If you are in a reclining seat or chair, assume a similar position with your hands but do not cross your feet. If you are on a couch, bed, or mat on the floor, it is best to prop your head up enough so that you are not fully reclined.

Your ‘special place’ in the meditative state is a place of safety, empowerment and discovery. There is no specific way in which the images are supposed to occur, only what is unique, special and relevant to your individual personality and life circumstances. It is normal for your mind to wander a bit at times so do not be concerned, just return to the focused breathing and allow yourself to come back to my voice, easily and effortlessly.
